Construction and Psychometric Properties of the Inventory of Sarcastic Critical Humor (IHCD-25) in University Students in the City of Trujillo, 2025
Abstract
The objective of the research was to develop and determine the psychometric properties of the Sarcastic Critical Humor Inventory (IHCD-25) in university students from the city of Trujillo. A psychometric methodology with an instrumental, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design was used, with a non-probabilistic convenience sampling of 400 students, divided into two groups for exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Content validity was established through expert judgment, obtaining an Aiken's V coefficient of 1.00 for all items. Construct validity was determined through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, yielding fit indices of CFI=0.908, TLI=0.901, RMSEA=0.075, and SRMR=0.051. Additionally, the overall reliability of the instrument was determined using the Omega coefficient, with a value of 0.978. Finally, percentile norms were established for score interpretation. It was concluded that the inventory demonstrated adequate psychometric properties.
