The Fractal Golden Ratio Structure of the Electroweak Vacuum and W-boson
Abstract
The recent measurement of the W-boson mass by the CDF collaboration reveals a significant 7σ deviation from Standard Model predictions, representing one of the most compelling anomalies in particle physics. We present a resolution through the Pentagonal Quantum Information Substrate (PQIS) framework, which proposes that physical reality emerges from an information processing substrate with fractal probability structure and pentagonal symmetry. We derive a modified W-boson mass formula incorporating golden ratio corrections that precisely matches the experimental measurement without introducing new particles or arbitrary parameters. This approach reveals a fundamental fractal structure in the electroweak vacuum characterized by a universal ratio r* ≈ 0.124 and D₅ symmetry. We present additional testable predictions and discuss implications for beyond Standard Model physics.
